It is the best team in the UFL, the Birmingham Stallions, hosting the Houston Roughnecks. It is time to continue our UFL odds series with a Roughnecks-Stallions prediction and pick.
The Roughnecks come in having just one win in one year and off a third straight loss. The last time out was a close one though, as they faced the San Antonio Brahmas. The Bahamas would come away with a 15-12 win to send the Roughnecks to 1-6 on the year. Meanwhile, the Stallions are undefeated. Last week was a tight game facing the St. Louis BAttlehawks, but they would come away with a 30-26 win. These two faced in Houston in week five, with the Stallions winning 32-9.

Why The Roughnecks Can Cover/Win
The Roughnecks are seventh in the UFL in total yards per game. They are eighth in rushing yards per game and fifth in passing yards. The Roughnecks are last in the UFL in points though. Reid Sinnett has led the offense at quarterback this year. He has completed 64.6 percent of his passes this year, for 964 yards. Sinnett also has four touchdowns and two interceptions. Sinnett also has run for 34 yards and a score this year. He left the game after two passes last time, and Jarrett Guarantono took over. Fuarantono passed for 121 yards in the game.
The primary running back this year has been TJ Pledger IV. He has 65 rushes for 208 yards on the year. He has yet to find the endzone this year though. In the receiving game, Justin Hall has led the way. He has 352 yards this year with a touchdown on 38 catches. Keke Chism has 226 yards and a score, while Emmanuel Butler rounds out the top receivers with 152 yards and a score. Overall, four different players have touchdown receptions, and five players are over 100 yards receiving this year.
The Roughnecks are third in the UFL in yards against per game this year. They are third against the run, but fourth against the pass. The Roughnecks are third in the UFL in points allowed. Ethan Westbrooks has 3.5 sacks this year, while also having five other tackles for a loss. Meanwhile, Rueben Foster has been solid this year. He has 30 tackles, with three for a loss, while also having three pass breakups, an interception, and a fumble recovery.
Why The Stallions Can Cover/Win
The Stallions are first in the UFL in yards per game, sitting first in rushing yards per game as well, and first in passing yards. They are first to the UFL in points per game this year as well. Matt Corral and Adrian Martinez have split time for the Stallions at quarterback. Corral is 36-62 passing with 494 yards and two scores. He also has two interceptions. He has not played in the last two games. Martinez is 83-138 on the year for 1202 years and has ten touchdowns with an interception. He has also been solid on the ground, with 387 yards and a touchdown.
Ricky Person Jr. has led the rushing attack from the halfback spot. He has 235 yards rushing with six scores this year. Further, CJ Marable had 220 yards this year and has scored twice as well. In the receiving game, Deon Cain leads the way. He has 371 yards of the year with a score. Jace Sternberger has scored twice this year while bringing in 261 yards. Ricky Person has also been solid in the receiving game out of the backfield, with 11 receptions for 139 yards this year.
The Stallions are first in the UFL in yards against per game, they are first in rushing yards against per game while sitting first in passing yards against per game this year. The Stallions also allow the fewest points per game this year. Carlos Davis has been great this year. He has 20 tackles but also has three tackles for a loss, six sacks, and a forced fumble. Further, Mark Gilbert has been solid in coverage, with an interception, five pass breakups, and a fumble recovery.

The Roughnecks have struggled heavily this season and struggled to score as of late. They are now facing the best defense in the UFL. The Roughnecks defense is solid enough to slow down the Stallions offense. It may not be enough though as the Roughnecks will have a lot of trouble scoring. Take the Stallions to cover in this one.
