The Dallas Wings take on the Minnesota Lynx. Check out our WNBA odds series for our Wings Lynx prediction, odds, and pick. Find out how to watch Wings Lynx.
The Minnesota Lynx are making a real case that they are one of the very best teams in the WNBA this season. The playoffs will be the ultimate revealer, but so far, you could make a real argument that Minnesota is actually playing the best ball of any team in the league. They decisively beat the New York Liberty eight days ago. They absolutely pounded the Phoenix Mercury last Friday, winning by 24 points. The Connecticut Sun are the only unbeaten team in the W right now, but Minnesota looks better than Connecticut in a lot of its wins. Connecticut beat Minnesota at home this season, but by only one point in a game the Lynx led late in regulation. Minnesota hasn't made many missteps this season, losing that squeaker to the unbeaten Sun and also losing to defending champion Las Vegas. The Lynx aren't unbeaten, but their typical performance is as good as that of any team in the WNBA.
Dallas is coming off a very tough loss against the aforementioned Connecticut Sun. Dallas led 72-69 in the closing minutes but then could not score in the final 90 seconds of the game. Dallas had four different shots to tie or take the lead in the last 35 seconds and missed all of them, falling 74-72 to the W's only remaining unbeaten team. Does that performance mean Dallas is beginning to figure it out, or does it mean the Wings maxed out on Friday but won't have much in the tank for this Sunday game in Minnesota against a really good opponent?

Why The Wings Could Cover The Spread
The game Dallas played against the unbeaten Connecticut Sun on Friday night shows this group has potential. If the Wings play the same way they did against the Sun, they should cover the spread. If Dallas is good enough to lead the Sun by three with roughly two minutes left in regulation, it is good enough to cover a six-point spread versus the Lynx.
Why The Lynx Could Cover The Spread
The key point to make about the Lynx is that after they got manhandled by the Aces at home in the middle of last week, they bounced back in a very big way on Friday night versus the Mercury. You could say the Mercury aren't that great a team, but Minnesota completely took Phoenix out of the game from the jump. The Lynx immediately got a 10-point lead in the first quarter and then built that lead over 20 at halftime and were never remotely threatened. You typically see teams build leads and then give up a 10-2 or 12-4 run at some point. It never happened on Friday. The Lynx dominated for all 40 minutes. That's the kind of game which makes someone think, “Maybe this team is a lot better than we thought.” If that team shows up here, it will hammer Dallas and easily cover.
Final Wings-Lynx Prediction & Pick
