With his family and friends watching in attendance, Will Bynum forcefully reminded the basketball world his professional career is far from over. The former NBA guard put on a show in his hometown of Chicago on Saturday, scoring a BIG3 record 33 points for Bivouac in his team's win over the Killer 3s.

Bynum scored more than 60 percent of Bivouac's points in its 51-43 victory over Stephen Jackson's squad, and had a team-leading eight rebounds and three assists. Also playing in the game were former NBA veterans Josh Smith, Anthony Morrow, Eddy Curry, C.J. Watson, and Donte Greene.

Bynum last played in the NBA in 2014-15, on a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards. Undrafted out of Georgia Tech in 2005, he made his NBA debut with the Golden State the following season after a stint in the G-League. He spent the next two years starring for Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel, returning to the league with the Detroit Pistons in 2008-09, when he began to find his footing. Bynum played the next seasons with the Pistons as a reserve point guard, averaging career-bests of 10.0 points and 4.5 assists in 2009-10.

After he received scant interest on free agent market in the summer of 2015, Bynum played with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association. He signed with the Atlanta Hawks the following year only to be waived before the regular season, spending the rest of the season in the G-League. He most recently played with YeĹźilgiresun Belediye, which competes in the Turkish Baksetball Super League.
