Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen could not be happier to have the opportunity to throw deep balls to Stefon Diggs next season.

Allen said he cannot wait to get to work with Diggs while also complimenting the former Minnesota Vikings receiver on his explosiveness (via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk):

“I’m still pumped about it. I’m still floating on cloud nine right now,” Allen said. “I just can’t wait to get to work with him. Obviously with all this stuff going around, traveling and trying to get in touch, start throwing with him, that’s going to be a little delayed. I just want to get back to work. We’ve been staying in contact and trying to devise a plan of how we can get together. But man, the things he can do on a football field are unbelievable. The route running. The way he can make contested catches. I’ve talked to him on the phone a couple times and just how cool of a dude he seems. He’s going to match in very well with our wide receiver group, he’s going to match within our locker room and with our team. Big time playmaker. He’s going to help us out a lot this year.”

The Bills acquired Diggs from the Vikings in exchange for a 2020 first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, as well as two other picks in 2020 and a future fourth-rounder in 2021.

Diggs should give Allen another deep threat alongside fellow Bills receiver John Brown. The 26-year-old hauled in 63 receptions for 1,130 yards last season, averaging nearly 18 yards per reception.

The Bills will need Allen to be more precise after he failed to complete over 60 percent of his passes last season, but he is ecstatic to have Diggs on downfield moving forward.
