The Buffalo Bills lost in heartbreaking fashion to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the team had more pressing issues after the game. Franchise quarterback Josh Allen suffered a left ankle injury in the comeback attempt, and had to have the ankle taped up. Allen showing up to the post-game press conference in a walking boot only worsened Bills fans' biggest fears.

However, it seems like all is well for Josh Allen. According to the Bills quarterback, there's nothing to fear, because: (via AJ Feldman)

“I finished the game on it, so I don't think it's going to be a big deal.”

You wouldn't know that Josh Allen was nursing an injury the way he played against the Buccaneers. The Bills QB did all he could to rally his team from a 24 – 3 deficit, completing 66.7% percent of his passes for 308 yards, and also rushing for 109 yards. He scored one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown, as he and the Bills forced overtime against the defending champions Bucs.

Unfortunately, untimely penalties and Tom Brady being Tom Brady spoiled the comeback attempt. Brady's 700th career touchdown pass was the dagger that killed the Bills, as it came in overtime to win the game for the Buccaneers. It was an unfortunate ending to what could've been a legendary moment for Allen and the Bills.

With that loss, the Bills dropped to 7 – 6, putting them dangerously close to missing the playoffs. If they want a shot at making the AFC wild-card round, they'll need Allen to be injury-free and playing at 100%. Their margin of error is slim, but they at least have an easy schedule ahead of them. They face the Panthers next week, then a rematch against the Patriots, the Falcons, and the Jets.
