Bioware, the development studio behind the popular Dragon Age RPG series has just revealed the title for their upcoming sequel to the series, simply known as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.

As mentioned in a news post over on the official BioWare website, the adventure of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be taking place in Thedas just like with the previous titles. While many details in the game have yet to be revealed, the news post does go into detail regarding the initial storyline and lore.

Solas, the Dread Wolf. Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not. Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as something of a trickster deity—a player of dark and dangerous games.

Solas is a fictional character in BioWare's Dragon Age series and first made his appearance within Dragon Age: Inquistion back in 2014. He's a very prominent figure who uses powerful magic and has a villianous backstory. Now as the title suggests, Solas will become the main angagonist of the game that players will have to contend with. Of course, as we other Dragon Age games, facing the antagonist head on may not be the only option, as dialog choices and player actions could easily shape the direction of the story over time.

Whether you’re new to Dragon Age stories or you’ve experienced them all, using Solas’s namesake no doubt suggests a spectrum of endless possibilities on where things may go. But at the core of this, like every past game, is you.

Other than these brief summaries, no other details on the game have been revealed. BioWare will release more information on the game later in 2022.
