Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony was angered by President Donald Trump's declaration to send in the military to defuse the tension surrounding George Floyd's unjust death.

The 10-time All-Star took to Instagram to air his grievances, particularly with how the National Guard is now at war with the civilians.

“America is being destroyed and burned down. They refuse to even charge officers who killed a black man in front of the whole world! They would rather lose everything than give a black man justice! Let that sink in,” the Blazers star wrote in a two-part post.

The public outcry sparked as soon as a clip of George Floyd begging for his life at the hands of a Minneapolis Police office went viral online.

Things have indeed gotten out of hand in several areas of the country, as supposedly peaceful protests have been tainted by looting and violence.

The victim's brother, Terrence Floyd, has already condemned such acts, claiming that violence and chaos are not the way to seek justice.

Several NBA players, meanwhile, have already lent their voices by walking the streets during peaceful protests. Superstars like Carmelo Anthony and his good friend LeBron James have also been vocal about the existing racial injustice that continues to haunt the African American community.

Retired NBA player Stephen Jackson, a close friend of Floyd, has somewhat become the face of the movement after vowing that justice will be served and his death won't be in vain.

The Blazers and several other NBA teams, as well as commissioner Adam Silver, have already released public statements supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.
