Both CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers did not hold back with their criticism on how poorly their matchup against the Utah Jazz was officiated by the referees. Both guys were very vocal about their frustration, particularly with the missed goal tending call on Lillard's game-tying layup attempt in the dying moments of the ballgame.

McCollum did not seem to mind being fined for his comments, claiming that he said no lies.

Lillard echoed his backcourt and real life Blazers buddy, but the five-time All-Star's approach was a bit less modest.

It's quite understandable why these two — and the rest of the Blazers squad for that matter — were so upset by the performance of the game officials on the evening. They obviously feel that they were robbed, and judging by the blatant goal tending violation by Jazz big man Rudy Gobert, it's hard not to feel for them.

This defeat brings the Blazers' season-long tally to 24-29, as they currently sit two and a half games outside the playoffs picture in a ruthless Western Conference. It seems like it's going to be a tight battle ahead for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West. Right now, only three and a half games separate the eight-placed Memphis Grizzlies (26-26) from the tenth-seeded San Antonio Spurs (22-29). Along with the Blazers, these three teams look like they're going to battle it out until the very end of the regular season.
