CJ McCollum is taking the next stride into his broadcasting career as he launches his new show called “ReMaking America.” The Portland Trail Blazers star is putting his journalism degree from Lehigh University into good use as he transcends his previous stints in the radio and podcast realms.

The 29-year old's new show will look to tackle different social issues going on today in each of its 30-minute episodes. Each episode will feature CJ McCollum going on an in-depth conversation with different voices from politicians, athletes, activists and others.

“America certainly is a great country with plenty of freedoms, but there are a lot of systemic issues that need to change,” CJ McCollum said in a phone interview with Forbes. “I have an extremely unique perspective growing up African American in an inner city, going to public school, off to a private university, into the NBA and now living among the top 1% of Americans that I bring to this show and that I can use to help make this country better and more inclusive.”

Aside from hosting the show, CJ McCollum is also putting on a few more hats; he also took the liberty of writing and producing the show which is set to air on PlayersTV ahead of the US elections on November 3.

First up for ‘Remaking America' is none other than Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris who posted a teaser on Twitter.

Based on Harris' clip, CJ McCollum's pilot episode will also include fellow NBA stars Tobias Harris of the Philadelphia 76ers and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz.
