For Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum, the top three players in the NBA today are LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Note that McCollum ranked them in order, meaning that James is the best player for him. The Blazers star highlighted how LeBron radically turned the Lakers into title contenders, even hinting that James should be crowned MVP for the 2019-20 season.

Prior to the season's suspension, James was climbing to the top of the MVP ladder, with some even believing he has a legitimate shot at dethroning Antetokounmpo, whom many believe is on his way to his second straight best player award.

But then, James elevated his game with the Lakers. Just like McCollum's argument, James has proven time and time again that whatever team he's on, it's a guarantee it'll be a contender.

While the Blazers guard didn't expound on Antetokounmpo, it's pretty much crystal clear on why he's one of the game's elites. He already has one MVP trophy in the bag, and what's even scarier is that he is still getting better every game.

The same goes for Kawhi. Two-way players don't come often, and fans are being treated to a one-of-a-kind basketball savant in Leonard.
