Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard has spoken out about how he has been compared so frequently to former back-to-back MVP winner Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.

Lillard took a bit of a philosophical approach in response to what he deems to be a pointless comparison:

To be fair, Curry is considered by many as the greatest shooter in all of history, so to be compared to a guy like him is by no means a knock to anybody. Then again, Lillard is his own man. And as proven by his heroics inside the bubble, he has emerged as one of the best point guards in the game today.

Simply put, these are two greats that are well on their way to Hall of Fame status. Curry is now 32, and Lillard is not too far back at 30. The clock is ticking on the careers of both men, so at this point, we should just enjoy them while we still can.

Another thing these two have in common is that they're both already on vacation. Curry and the Warriors have been on their offseason for months now, while Lillard and the Blazers joined them several days ago after being eliminated in the first round courtesy of the Los Angeles Lakers.

You can also be sure that both Curry and Lillard will be working tirelessly in the offseason, as they look to bounce back next term. A healthy (and upgraded) Golden State team is fully expected to mount a title challenge next term, while it will be a very interesting offseason for Portland — who seems to have stagnated at this point.
