Portland Trail Blazers All-Star Damian Lillard took to social media on Monday to announce that he and his fiancée, Kay'La, are expecting twins.

It sounds like the couple is expecting a girl and a boy. Lillard noted that he is excited to bring life into the world, though he seemed a bit nervous about having a girl:

“I’m a DADDY DADDY now 😂😂😂… Happy for another boy but this girl gone hit different,” Lillard wrote in his Instagram post.

Damian Lillard and the Blazers fought hard to earn a spot in the Western Conference Playoffs, defeating the Memphis Grizzlies in a play-in game to earn the eighth and final seed. As a result, Portland was paired with the top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers in the opening round.

The Blazers opened their first-round matchup on a high note, defeating the Lakers by a score of 100-93 in Game 1. Lillard led Portland with 34 points in that game. Unfortunately, though, a pair of injuries limited his playing time in the series. He dislocated his left index finger in Game 2, but he managed to play through. In Game 4, he suffered a right knee sprain, which kept him out of Game 5. He left the NBA's bubble complex in Florida on Saturday to return to Portland. Gary Trent Jr. started in his place.

With Lillard sidelined, the Lakers carried a 4-1 victory in the series.

Though the season is over for the Blazers, Damian Lillard and his fiancée can still be happy knowing they're welcoming new life. Let's see if he can lead his team on another playoff push next year.
