Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard addressed the media Friday afternoon after the conclusion of Team USA's practice. Of course, reports came out that Lillard was planning on requesting a trade, and another that he wasn't going to request. Well, Lillard answered himself on those reports.
"I woke up to those reports, but it's not true. I'll start off the rip and say it's not true. A lot of things are being said, but it hasn't come from me. I haven't made any firm decision on what my future will be."

So, Lillard put that debate to bed– for now.
It has been a busy offseason for Lillard and for the Blazers, who have now hired Chauncey Billups as their new head coach after moving on from Terry Stotts in another highly debatable move by Neil Olshey.
Lillard then went on to say he hasn't made a decision regarding his future, so a lot can end up changing in the upcoming weeks.
If Lillard does ask to be traded, he will have plenty of suitors and he has already been linked to a high number of teams who would be dying and jumping at the shot to land one of the best players in the entire NBA.
For now, Lillard is headed to participate in the Tokyo Olympics with Team USA. His focus is on a gold medal and Portland has a lot to figure out regarding the future of their superstar guard.
This is shaping up to be a wild offseason.
