Damian Lillard did not only lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a blowout victory against the Golden State Warriors, but he also etched his name further in the NBA history books.

After Friday's 34-point explosion, Lillard became just the second Blazers player to reach 15,000 points. He needed only 21 to reach the feat, and he did so midway through the third quarter of the contest. In true Dame fashion, Lillard broke through the scoring mark with a long-distance bomber.

Clyde Drexler is the only other player to reach the 15,000-point mark for the franchise. The NBA legend is also currently the team's all-time leading scorer with 18,040 points.

According to NBC Sports, Damian Lillard is also the 21st fastest player to reach the mark at 620 career games. He is tied with Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird in that regard, which is certainly a great company to be with considering that Dame is only 30 years old and still at the peak of his career.

Aside from his scoring output, the Oakland native recorded four rebounds and eight assists in an efficient outing for the Blazers. His running mate, CJ McCollum, added 28 points, four assists and three steals to help Portland secure the 123-98 victory.

The win marked Portland's third win of the season, and it is also their biggest margin of victory so far after beating both the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers by two and eight points, respectively. The Blazers were also coming off a 23-point drubbing at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers.
