The Portland Trail Blazers have had a tumultuous season thus far. They've shipped off most of their veteran talent, including Damian Lillard's beloved backcourt partner CJ McCollum. It wouldn't be surprising to most if the point guard would sour with his loyalty to the franchise he's been on for a decade.
However, it's tough to sway Damian Lillard. In a recent interview with Adam Caparell of Complex Sports, the Blazers star reaffirmed his commitment to the team that drafted him.

I’ve been part of this for 10 years. I’ve been part of the change here and us being a successful franchise. I know what means something to me in my heart. And that’s winning a championship here.”
The Blazers are headed towards a different direction this season. They have an emerging talent in Anfernee Simons having a breakout year and a potential lottery pick in the draft incoming.
Despite the team already turning towards a new chapter, Damian Lillard still seems determined to be a titular character in their story – still chasing his happy ending.
