Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has once again called out fake news. On Monday, a bombshell report from The Athletic came out on how Dame was growing frustrated with the Blazers organization and new head coach Chauncey Billups amid their slow start.

Lillard fired back right away via Twitter:

Right from the horse's mouth. The Blazers guard clearly doesn't feel this way. This isn't the first time a report has surfaced about Dame's feelings towards the organization. Despite the struggles, he remains committed to Portland, through thick and thin. It would be very interesting to know where exactly these different outlets are getting their information if the player himself is saying it's not true.

According to The Athletic piece, Lillard would also be interested in playing with Ben Simmons. He didn't deny those allegations in the tweet, but it's frankly unknown if that's true or not. Nonetheless, this could be a trade the Blazers and Sixers could pursue. Sending CJ McCollum to Philly would give Joel Embiid another running mate, while Simmons gets a fresh start in a new city alongside Lillard.

Dame is currently out with an abdomen injury and the Blazers aren't exactly doing well without him, going 1-2 so far including two back-to-back blowout losses to the San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics. Clearly, they need a player like Simmons to elevate their potential.
