Near the end of Friday's showdown against the Utah Jazz, Portland Trail Blazers All-Star guard Damian Lillard was enraged after the referees didn't call a goaltend on Utah's center Rudy Gobert that may have cost Portland the game.

Lillard proceeded to take his frustrations out on Twitter by calling out the referees after the game.

In a postgame interview, Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell took shots at Blazers shooting guard Gary Trent Jr.’s for his in-game trash talking.

Lillard responded to Mitchell by defending his teammate on Twitter.

Lillard finished off the night with an astonishing 42 points, six rebounds, and six assists. However, the Blazers' disappointing loss was crucial since they're in a tight battle to make the playoffs.
The Blazers are currently the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a record of 24-28. They're two and a half games behind the eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies.
Nonetheless, Lillard and the Blazers will get another shot at beating the Jazz this season. The Blazers and Jazz are scheduled to play each other again on April 2nd.
