There is no arguing that Michael Jordan is the greatest to ever set foot on the hardwood. But if a player were to somehow surpass Jordan's extensive list of accolades, one could make the argument that they have replaced “His Airness” as the best ever.

However, Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard strongly disagrees. When asked on Twitter if he thinks Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has a shot at becoming the greatest of all time, Lillard said he does not think it will ever happen.

If one were to ask any NBA fan for their list of all-time greatest basketball players, there would be a countless different combinations. However, the consensus remains that Jordan is still No. 1. Everyone that follows is just a matter of perspective and the context in which one judges each player.

The most common determining factor is a number of championships a player has led his perspective team to. Jordan's flawless 6-0 record in the NBA Finals is a feat that no other player has been able to match and serves as the cherry on top to his resume as the greatest of all time.  However, with the new generation of NBA fans coming in that have never seen him play, it may not be long before he is regarded by some as just an old-school legend.
