Damian Lillard has been pretty heated on Twitter lately. The Portland Trail Blazers guard has faced some backlash over his support of his team's new head coach Chauncey Billups.

Billups was previously slapped with rape allegations during his early playing days, which were eventually settled out of court. A handful of Blazers fans gave him flak for actively voicing out his support for Billups during their search for their next play-caller. Lillard, meanwhile, claimed he was just voicing out his opinion based on the names available and didn't think much of it beyond the basketball side of things.

Dame's recent Twitter activity shows he's had enough of Blazers fans who won't cut him enough slack. The 6-time All-Star liked a tweet about “frauds” and “fake” fans who are giving him a hard time.

Lillard himself had a tweet directed at Blazers fans who “keep goin” at him with their endless comments on the touchy subject matter.

This adds another uncomfortable twist amid an offseason full of intrigue for Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Yes, the Blazers star is expected to be a role model as an idolized figure in the community. But because of his otherworldly feats on the basketball court, sometimes fans forget that he's human too.
