After willing the Portland Trail Blazers to a four-overtime victory over the Denver Nuggets in Game 3, Damian Lillard opened up about how hard it was to stay in the game and keep going.

The Blazers and Nuggets played just the second 4OT playoff game in NBA history. Fortunately for Portland, they managed to come out on top and edge Denver 140-137 to take a 2-1 series lead.

However, Lillard admits that it wasn't easy, saying that he was “really tired” in the overtime period. The four-time All-Star added that it all came down to which team can dig deep and fight through the exhaustion.

Damian Lillard had a huge game for the Blazers, finishing as the team's second leading scorer with 28 points on 41.7 percent shooting. He also had six rebounds, eight assists and two steals.

Moreover, the Weber State product provided some much-needed clutch plays in the game. In fact, in the third overtime, he scored the game-tying lay-with 8.4 seconds left on the clock.

The game was undoubtedly a rollercoaster, and Lillard and Co. can only be happy for surviving what could be said as their toughest game so far. Portland will now look to take a 3-1 lead when they play Denver on Tuesday, May 7, for Game 4.
