Damian Lillard‘s supermax contract with the Portland Trail Blazers is about to kick in starting next season, but the superstar guard remains a hot commodity among teams looking for a blockbuster trade.

The buzz began after the Blazers' first-round exit at the hands of the Denver Nuggets. Lillard played some of the best basketball of his career in the series but sorely lacked support. Hence, his cryptic social media activities were picked up by the internet detectives and turned into vitriol for trade rumors.

As far as Enes Kanter is concerned, all the Damian Lillard speculations are hogwash. In an appearance on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” the veteran big man banked on Lillard's loyalty as the sole reason for Blazers fans to stop worrying.

“I played with Dame two years ago, I played with Dame this year, like I’ve said in many interviews, he’s the most loyal player I have ever seen in the league … I don’t think he’s going to leave. He even said it himself, he ‘woke up to all these trades rumors, and it’s not true,' and I don’t think it’s true.”

The Lakers, Warriors, and Sixers are some of the teams who may be looking for a big splash in the trade market this offseason. Portland will get calls. No doubt.

Lillard has professed his love for Portland countless times. His quotes about wanting to win a title with the Blazers are well-documented. One has to wonder, though, if, at some point, the All-Star point guard toys with the idea of packing his bags for a different team.
