Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has never lacked confidence, no matter it's taking a shot with the game on the line or responding to trash talk from an opponent, whether in real life or online.

So it comes as no surprise to hear the Portland Trail Blazers guard consider himself among the best point guards in the league. The interview happened with Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green via Bleacher Report. When asked where he believes he needs to get respect from as a player, the 30-year old guard responded that he doesn’t see Warriors guard and Green’s teammate Steph Curry, the Houston’s Russell Westbrook, and Oklahoma City’s Chris Paul as above him.

Damian Lillard then mentioned how people regarded him as a player, which always began with an acknowledgement of his greatness, but ended with them saying that he was missing something, and him wondering what that is.

The five-time All Star certainly has the numbers to back up his talk, as the Blazers star finished with career-high numbers in his eighth season with Portland. In 66 games, he put up a career-best 30 points, 4.3 rebounds, 8 assists per game, while shooting 46.3% from the field and 40.1% from 3-point range.

He had an incredible run in the NBA Bubble at the restart of the season, leading the Trail Blazers back to the playoffs as the eighth seed after a string of high-scoring performances in the Bubble, including a career-high tying 61 points on his way to being unanimously named as the Bubble MVP. However, the eighth seeded Blazers were defeated in five games by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.
