Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard suffered an apparent rib injury in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

The apparent injury occurred in the third quarter on a scramble for the loose ball. Kevon Looney ended up with the rock and passed it forward. But he landed on Lillard's body in the process. Lillard grimaced in pain but thankfully got back to his feet and walked to the bench unassisted.

The injury didn't look that serious. Lillard was able to finish the game. However, he may undergo further examination to identify the exact severity of the injury.

Hopefully, he won't miss any games; the Blazers are now down 2-0 in the series. Lillard had 23 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds. Backcourt partner C.J. McCollum had 22 points and five assists.

The Blazers were up by as much as 17 points. As many expected, the Warriors put up a 39-point third quarter to just 24 from the Trail Blazers.

Stephen Curry led all scorers with 37 points, as well as eight rebounds and eight assists. Draymond Green's playmaking was critical in the Warriors' rally. He finished the game with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.

Game 3 will be on Saturday in Portland, with the Blazers essentially playing for their season in the face of the Warriors' championship pedigree. Damian Lillard, though, is the kind of player who can lead an uprising. If his health is reasonably good, all things are still possible for the Blazers.
