Derrick Jones Jr. was up to his high-flying antics yet again on Thursday as the Portland Trail Blazers took on the Houston Rockets. Jones came flying in for a highly-impressive putback slam following a long-distance miss by teammate Carmelo Anthony.

The Blazers-Rockets contest was not short of highlights as early as the first quarter. Portland superstar Damian Lillard was also in the mood for this one, as the five-time All-Star connected on a long-distance logo triple for the Blazers in the same quarter.

Jones, who was one of the most sought-after names in free agency over the offseason, opted to sign a two-year, $19 million deal with the Blazers in November. He has since been a key part of the team, logging 27.5 minutes per game as Portland's starting small forward. In 16 games played this season, the 23-year-old is currently averaging 7.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals.

Portland came into Thursday's matchup following a narrow 125-122 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday. Needless to say, the Blazers entered the Rockets game in search of a much-needed win against a familiar foe. They get Friday off before returning to action on Saturday against the Chicago Bulls.
