The Portland Trail Blazers were handed quite a beating on their home floor by the Milwaukee Bucks, 103-91, on Thursday night. The score was actually much worse than that, but the Blazers were able to claw some of the deficit back in garbage time.

Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic was not pleased with his team’s performance to say the least, according to Jen Beyrle of The Oregonian. He flat out said the Blazers “suck right now” after they lost to a Bucks team which he views as an inferior group.

“It's not difficult, we suck right now,” said Nurkic. “This game, they aren't better than us and we didn't show that. Our team has to step up.”

While it was obviously a bad look for the Blazers to get beaten so badly at home, they haven’t been quite as bad as Jusuf Nurkic has made it seem. Prior to the game, they had won three games in a row and five of their last six games.

It’s also not as if the Bucks are a bad team. They were above .500 prior to the win and have one of the best players in the league in Giannis Antetokounmpo.

However, Nurkic apparently has a high expectation of his team if he’s getting worked up about a loss to a decent Bucks team. It’ll be up to him and his teammates to prove they are indeed that good, though, and avoid more embarrassing losses on their home floor.
