Ever wondered what Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James respects most about his pal Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony?

His “resiliency.”

“His resiliency. Just resilient,” James told The Athletic. “He don’t let nothing stop him, he don’t care what nobody say, he do him, then he believes in his journey. And he ain’t gonna let nobody stop him from his journey.

“In a world where everybody’s always trying to tell what you should do and how you should do it and the only way you can be successful is how they tell you to do it, I love how resilient he is.”

After being out of the NBA for more than a year, Anthony put up 22.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game for the Blazers last week, winning the Western Conference Player of the Week Award.

Melo is averaging 16.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in eight games with the Blazers. The 10-time All-Star and future Hall of Famer is shooting 44.8 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from the 3-point line and 86.4 percent from the charity stripe.

The Blazers and Lakers face each other on Friday in Portland. It will be the 34th time LeBron and Melo face off in the NBA.
