Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is impressed with Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum.

With the Blazers trailing by 11 points at the half of their Game 7 against the Denver Nuggets, McCollum single-handedly managed to keep the team afloat in the second half. His huge game got LeBron reacting on Twitter, saying that his fellow Ohio native is ‘cooking.'

McCollum eventually finished the game with 37 points, helping the Blazers come from behind and take down the Nuggets, 100-96, for a ticket to the Western Conference Finals. Interestingly, his tally sets a new franchise record for scoring in a Game 7.

The 27-year-old guard only had 15 markers in the first half, but he exploded in the second to lead the Portland's fightback. He shot 17-of-29 from the field and also had nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 45 minutes of action.

Portland advances to the West Finals for the first time in nearly 19 years. The team last played in the conference finale in 2000 against the Los Angeles Lakers, which Portland lost 4-3.

The Blazers will play the reigning champions Golden State Warriors in the West finale, and they will certainly need another big game from McCollum if they want any shot at advancing to the NBA Finals.
