During Friday's preseason matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers, head coach Luke Walton briefly removed his mask to shout some instructions at his players on the floor. CJ McCollum, who was seated on the Portland bench, noticed Walton was temporarily mask-less and made sure the opposing coach knew about it.

ā€œCoach, put your mask on,ā€ McCollum shouted in Walton's direction.

Walton seemingly heard McCollum, as he fixed his mask after looking in the direction of the Blazers bench.

After the game, the Blazers star reiterated the message. CJ shared the video of him correcting Walton on Twitter along with a masked emoji.

For the 2020-21 season, coaches will be required to wear masks at all times.

ā€œThe NBA has always been a dynamic business and the challenges we face in society right now with COVID, it only amplifies the dynamic nature of our business,ā€ Dallas coach Rick Carlisle told The Associated Press about the mask mandate. ā€œYou have to be able to adapt, you have to be looking for solutions ā€¦ and weā€™re going to make it work.ā€

For what it's worth, the Blazers defeated the Kings, 127-102. CJ McCollum contributed 18 points, four rebounds and five assists in the blowout victory.

Carmelo Anthony led the Blazers with 21 points, while Buddy Hield banked 23 markers for Luke Walton's men.
