In a marquee matchup against the Golden State Warriors, Portland Trail Blazers superstar point guard Damian Lillard hit the go-ahead three in overtime to give the Blazers the lead.

The Blazers ended up on top 110-109 against the Warriors.

The Warriors really dropped off in the second quarter and let the Blazers' lead grow by six points. But they kept it close for the rest of the game, outscoring Portland in each of the third and fourth quarters.

Lillard had 21 points, one rebound, and five assists on the night while shooting 7-of-20 from the field. Jusuf Nurkic practically had a field day, dropping 27 points with 12 rebounds and four assists while shooting 10-of-18 from the field.

For the Warriors, Stephen Curry had 29 points, five rebounds, and seven assists on the night while shooting 11-of-26 from the field. Kevin Durant had a triple-double, scoring 26 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 11 assists while shooting 11-of-23 from the field.

The largest problem for the Warriors was their inability to hit free throws as they missed nine on the evening. It didn't help that Curry uncharacteristically shot 6-of-15 from deep. The team as a whole only shot 29.5 percent from behind the arc. The shots simply were not going down for Golden State.

The Blazers caught the Warriors in a slump. The Blazers are now 20-16 on the season and sit fifth in the NBA's Western Conference while the Warriors are now 23-13.
