Klay Thompson has won three championships since entering the NBA back in 2011. He's also made a ton of money.

After Thompson's current contract with the Golden State Warriors expires in the summer of 2024, the sharpshooter will have made $268,210,599 in NBA money, per Spotrac.

After selecting him out of Washington State, the Warriors signed Klay Thompson to a standard four-year rookie contract. Thompson made $1,711,589 during his rookie season while averaging 12.5 points and 2.4 rebounds for the Dubs.

To finish out his rookie contract, Thompson made $2,222,160 in Year 2, $2,317,920 in Year 3 and $3,075,880 in Year 4 before his rookie-scale extension kicked in. Klay signed a four-year, $69 million rookie extension with the Warriors. He earned $15,501,000 during the 2015-16 season. That's the campaign Golden State won an NBA record 73 games but lost in the Finals after holding a 3-1 series lead.

In 2016-17, Klay Thompson made $16,663,575 and captured his second championship. The All-Star guard won his third ring in 2017-18 while making $17,826,150. Thompson and the Warriors were seemingly on top of the basketball world.

However, the 2018-19 season was a struggle for Thompson and the Warriors even though the team got back to the Finals. Klay made $18,988,725 but he tore his left ACL in Game 6 of the Finals against the Toronto Raptors. The Dubs also lost Kevin Durant to an Achilles tear in the previous game and wound up losing the series in six games.

Despite tearing his ACL, Klay Thompson still signed a max contract with the Warriors in the summer of 2019 as an unrestricted free agent. Klay agreed to a five-year, $189.9 million contract with the Dubs. He was set to make $32,742,000 in 2019-20 before games were suspended due to COVID-19.

Whenever the 2020-21 season begins, Thompson will earn $35,361,360. He'll also be back on the court after missing the 2019-20 season due to his ACL tear.

During the 2021-22 campaign, Klay Thompson is scheduled to make $37,980,720. He'll earn $40,600,080 in 2022-23 and $43,219,440 in 2023-24. Thompson has career averages of 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists. The Warriors surely can't wait to get him back on the floor in 2020-21.
