Nicolas Batum came into this free agency period as a highly sought after free agent. Not at the level of Kevin Durant or Hassan Whiteside, but teams still knew the all-around abilities of Batum and how he could change the game on both ends of the floor.

The team who traded for him last year didn't waste time trying to retain him. According to The Vertical, Batum and the Charlotte Hornets have agreed to a five year deal worth $120 million.

Batum struggled in his final year with the Blazers, putting up just 9.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists on 40% shooting and 32% from downtown. With Charlotte, however, he's gotten back to his old self, averaging 14.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.0 steal per game on 43% shooting from the field and 35% from downtown.

Batum was scheduled to have these meetings with about five different teams, and it's unclear if he got to all of them or was just happy with what he has in Charlotte and decided to stay there long-term.
