Free agent forward Chandler Parsons had an excellent meeting with the Trail Blazers this morning, and reports had him a favorite to land in Portland. However, Parsons has decided to go elsewhere, so the Blazers have since moved on and agreed to a deal with Evan Turner.
Turner last played for the Celtics and was expected to meet with the Lakers and Celtics as well, but ultimately agreed on a deal with the Blazers. The deal was reportedly worth $75 million over four years, but was later confirmed to be $70 million over four years.

Turner averaged 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.0 steal per game in 81 games for Boston. It's a bit of a confusing move for Portland since Turner needs the ball in his hands to create for his team, but the Blazers also have two other guys who need the ball too: Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum.
