Every player in the NFL wants to have the feeling of job security. For Denver Broncos quarterbacks Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater, that feeling might not be all that full for them, especially with rumors flying around that Green Bay Packers flamethrower Aaron Rodgers could be traded, and one of the favorite destinations for him if that ever happens is Mile High City.

That being said, Lock and Bridgewater are trying to control what they can because obviously, they can't just email the Packers a message pleading that for the love of God, don't even think about sending Rodgers to the Broncos.

When asked about rumors of Rodgers, Lock, who was last year's starter for the Broncos, had the following to say, via Jon Heath of USA TODAY:

“No, believe it or not,” Lock said. “It was not because I decided that I was going to develop a plan this offseason. It was going to be really long days, but it was going to be worth every single second of it because regardless of what happened, if I stayed here, I left or they brought someone in, my mindset was not going to change wherever I went. If I went somewhere or if I stayed here, I was going to be the guy. I put every single ounce in that this offseason.

Bridgwater also gave an expected diplomatic take on it:

“When everything came out, I really didn’t know until someone brought it to my attention. I’m in my own little world sometimes and far away from football. When the news broke, I don’t even remember what I was doing. Like I said, it’s a business and I understand the nature of this business.”

Lock and Bridgewater will be competing for the Broncos' starting gig in the 2021 NFL season, and each of them is probably secretly wishing that Rodgers would just stay in Lambeau Field.
