The Denver Broncos traded for Joe Flacco but it appears now they may have already drafted his replacement in former Missouri Tigers quarterback Drew Lock.

Flacco was asked on Monday how he felt about the Broncos drafting Lock and in typical Flacco fashion, he didn't say anything controversial.

Flacco said that he can't control who the team drafts so it's not something he is too worried about. He was asked if this is something that motivates him and he hinted that it might a little bit, but said that different things motivate him every year and this won't be the biggest thing.

Flacco also hopes that he can teach Lock a few things on the field but he isn't going to go out of his way to teach him. Rather he hopes Lock can see what he does on the field and learns that way.

Flacco might have a little different feeling about the situation if this was a quarterback battle but the Broncos have already made it clear that isn't the case. Broncos coach Vic Fangio made it clear that Flacco is getting all the first team reps and the competition is behind his spot.

“We've got open competition after [Flacco],” he said, via the team's official website. “We'll randomly play those guys with the twos and the threes when we do our reps.”

This is Flacco's job to lose but if he struggles during the season there are going to be some calling to see Lock see the field.
