There's no question that the Denver Broncos are far from making any playoff games this season. They are still struggling to string together wins after another offseason of rebuilding. Understandably, there have been calls for John Elway to blow the team up and get the rebuild started in earnest.

However, it seems like the general manager still sees this team as a playoff-bound team due to the number of quality players he has gathered on this team.

He was talking to the press about the team's current situation and whether it's time to trade the team's big names for draft picks. Players such as Emmanuel Sanders, Chris Harris Jr., Derek Wolfe, and Von Miller were all brought up as possible trade pieces.

Per ESPN, he claimed that they are in no shape or form going for a rebuild.

“You guys bring all those names up. I have not brought any names up,” Elway said Friday to reporters.

“We're trying to win football games,” Elway said. “So, no one from our side is on the trading block. We're going to try to continue to win football games.”

While it's nice that they're still looking to win football games, it's been made clear by their first four games that they just don't have enough quality in them to get the wins they badly need. Moreover, they have plenty of holes in their roster that can be addressed by the draft.

The question now is whether Elway will actually stick to his word or trade his stars for picks before the October trade deadline.
