Noah Fant has been a bright spot for the Denver Broncos amid their 0-2 start to the 2020 season. After two consecutive weeks of finding the end zone, Fant shared what has been fueling his fast start to the season.

“It was just constantly working in the offseason. Working out lifting, running, running routes, the whole thing. I spent some time out in California, lifting and working out out there and then working with a routes guy — T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who used to play for the Bengals.”

In his rookie season with the Broncos in 2019, Fant flashed plenty of potential in Denver's offense. The Iowa product hauled in 40 receptions for 562 yards and three touchdowns after being taken No. 20 overall by the Broncos in the 2019 NFL Draft.

After his impressive showing as a rookie, Fant spent the entire offseason trying to better himself in 2020. The pass-catching tight end would work on polishing his route-running with former NFL wideout, T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

Even though the Broncos are 0-2 to begin the season, Fant's offseason regimen is seemingly paying off so far. Through the first two weeks, Fant has contributed nine receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns.

During Sunday's contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers, second-year quarterback Drew Lock suffered an injury to his shoulder. As a result, Lock is expected to miss anywhere between two-to-six weeks for the Broncos.

Jeff Driskel is slated to start in Lock's place in Week 3 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While the Broncos are going to be considered heavy underdogs against Tom Brady at home, Fant will look to continue being a positive aspect in Denver's offense.
