The Denver Broncos will interview Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio for their head-coaching job on Monday, and if the betting odds from BetOnline.ag are any indication, Fangio will end up winning the job.

Fangio, who is also scheduled to interview with the Miami Dolphins, has been the Bears' defensive coordinator since 2015. He actually interviewed for Chicago's head-coaching vacancy last year, but lost out to Matt Nagy. He then signed a three-year extension to continue as the team's defensive coordinator.

The 60-year-old has led the Bears to the NFL's third-ranked defense this season, a big reason why the team won 12 games and captured the NFC North division title.

Fangio has plenty of NFL experience, also serving as a defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers. His first NFL job, however, came all the way back in 1986, when he was named the New Orleans Saints' linebackers coach, a position he held through 1994 before taking the job as Panthers defensive coordinator the following year.

The Dunmore, Pa. native also has some college experience, having served as Stanford's defensive coordinator in 2010.

The Broncos are looking for a new coach after firing Vance Joseph following a couple of very poor seasons. Denver went just 6-10 this year and won seven games in 2017, marking the first time since 1972 that the Broncos endured back-to-back losing campaigns, a dubious distinction for Joseph.

Overall, Denver has missed the playoffs three years in a row. Prior to the current hiatus, the Broncos had made five straight playoff appearances, including a pair of trips to the Super Bowl, the latter of which resulted in a title during the 2015-16 campaign.
