The Denver Broncos are 2-5 and have rookie quarterback Drew Lock waiting in the wings, but Joe Flacco's job appears to be safe for now.

According to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic, Broncos head coach Vic Fangio says that while he would consider major changes on offense, benching Flacco is not one of them.

Considering how hard Fangio was on Lock during the offseason, this does not come as too much of a surprise, but it doesn't change the fact that Flacco has been very underwhelming thus far in 2019.

Through seven starts, Flacco has thrown for 1,648 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 65.7 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 86.3.

Denver acquired Flacco in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens back in March, obviously hoping that he would bridge the gap to the franchise's next young quarterback.

The Broncos would go on to select Lock in the second round of the NFL Draft, but Fangio made it clear throughout the summer that he did not think the University of Missouri product was ready to handle the rigors of being an NFL quarterback.

But with Denver's offense looking anemic and not showing any signs of turning things around, you have to wonder just how long Fangio is going to stick with Flacco.

Of course, Flacco was once a solid quarterback during his prime in Baltimore, but since 2015, he has been on an obvious decline, and at 34 years old, that isn't likely to cease.

The Broncos will take on the Indianapolis Colts next Sunday.
