The Tennessee Titans managed to end a dry spell in the second half with a touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Tannehill. However, the Denver Broncos and Melvin Gordon wasted no time in responding with a score of their own.

Running back Melvin Gordon scored his first touchdown with the Broncos to give them the 14-13 lead heading into the final stretch of the Week 1 finale, via NFL Twitter:

Despite splitting carries with Phillip Lindsay in the backfield with the Broncos, Gordon has served as the primary back in the 2020 NFL season opener. It is safe to say that he has managed to get his tenure in Denver started off on the right foot following an efficient outing that now includes a trip to the end zone. Meanwhile, the missed extra point from kicker Stephen Gostkowski continues to haunt Tennessee.

Contrary to the Titans and running back Derrick Henry, the Broncos have gone to a running back-by-committee to begin the season. Despite being shorthanded with key injuries in the receiving corps, the offense has made efforts to maintain a balanced approach. It will be interesting to see if it is enough to pull off the upset.
