The Cleveland Browns are taking on the New England Patriots on Sunday. It's been a great game so far, as Cleveland took an early lead in the first quarter. After David Njoku botched a would-be touchdown catch, Austin Hooper makes up for it on a fourth-down play.
Hooper makes a tough catch look easy as he shows off the toe-drag-swag to score six points for the Browns, per Dov Kleiman. With Odell Beckham Jr. out of the lineup, Cleveland might be relying on their tight ends more than usual.
Austin Hooper has been a nice acquisition for the Browns since joining the team in the 2020 offseason. He's the best pass-catching tight end on the roster and should be an important player on the offense for the remainder of the season.
The Browns utilize multiple tight ends sets more than any other team in the league. It makes sense why the team likes to have multiple starting-caliber tight ends on the roster, as they each play an important role. However, Austin Hooper could be in line to be a major contributor as the team shifts away from Odell Beckham Jr.
Look for Baker Mayfield to throw Hooper's way often throughout this game against the Patriots. He's arguably the best pass option on the Browns and Mayfield needs more consistency out of his teammates.
We'll see how this game goes. However it ends, Austin Hooper has a nice highlight touchdown catch he can add to his collection. Keep an eye on him, as he could be in line for a multiple touchdown day.
