People deserve second chances. Redemption is an important part of life. However, the Cleveland Browns treatment of the Deshaun Watson scandal is concerning to say the least.

On Monday, a report came to light about a 24th plaintiff planning on suing Watson for sexual misconduct. The plaintiff described in graphic detail a disgusting event that transpired between her and Watson.

Watson and his legal team have continuously denied all accusations despite 24 women coming forward and accusing the Browns new QB of sexual misconduct. And the Browns continue to endorse their new franchise star.

On Monday, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Watson will take part in the team’s charity golf outing

“(Stefanski) Said getting out into the community and giving back is “a big part of who we are” and something Watson and his teammates enjoy doing,” reporter Camryn Justice said on Twitter.

There is nothing wrong with Deshaun Watson participating in a charity golf event. But Kevin Stefanski’s continuous support of the quarterback on the same day in which a 24th woman brought forward extremely disturbing allegations is destined to raise some eyebrows.

Nonetheless, it is clear that the Browns are on Watson’s side. They acquired the QB earlier in the offseason and immediately locked him up to a long-term deal. However, his presence on the team has turned off a number of Browns fans.

There is no denying the fact that Watson is in hot water right now regardless of how much the Browns may want to avoid the topic.
