Hue Jackson isn't the only Browns coach on the way out of Cleveland. Shortly after the dismissal of their head coach, the Browns have also fired offensive coordinator Todd Haley, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

After spending the past six seasons as offensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Haley was brought by Cleveland in this offseason to take over the offense from Jackson, who had been the playcaller during the previous two years.

Big things were expected from the Browns offense this season. They traded for several key pieces this offseason in quarterback Tyrod Taylor, wide receiver Jarvis Landry, and running back Carlos Hyde with the hope of seeing major improvement following last year's disastrous 0-16 campaign.

However, Haley was unable to get the most out of those weapons. The Browns were ranked just 24th in the league in both scoring offense (21.1 PPG) and total offense (342 yards per game) under Haley's command. His dysfunctional relationship with Jackson likely didn't help the offense's situation.

Despite Jackson's clear deficiencies as the head coach, the Browns apparently didn't think that much of Haley to keep him on. The poor performance of the offense over half a season certainly didn't inspire much confidence.

Perhaps the Browns believe that it's just time for another complete reset to their coaching staff and that whoever takes over as the new head coach should get his chance to pick his new offensive coordinator.
