Minnesota Vikings' offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski will be interviewing over at the Cleveland Browns for their head coaching position on Thursday.

The team, who has already interviewed former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, moved Stefanski's interview up to today from Monday of next week, suggesting that the team is either very interested in the OC, or they're looking to make a decision very quickly.

While Stefanski has been with the Vikings since 2006, he hasn't been able to go any further than he already has in the organization. Last offseason, Mike Zimmer prevented Stefanski from interviewing with the New York Giants, and created an awkward situation between Stefanski and former Vikings OC John DeFilippo.

DeFilippo was rumored to be in contention for the head coach position, but was fired three weeks before the end of the season, and was replaced by Kevin Stefanski.

If he gets the position, Stefanski — the son of an NBA executive — will be taking the place of Hue Jackson, the Browns' former head coach who was fired on October 29th of last year. The Browns, at that time, also parted ways with their OC  Todd Haley. Currently, Gregg Williams and Freddie Kitchens are serving as the interim head coach and the interim OC, respectively, and have led the team to a 5-3 record in the second half of the season.

Kevin Stefanski would be the seventeenth Browns head coach throughout the team's history, if he does get the position.
