The Cleveland Browns can't seem to do anything right to begin the season, even when it comes to banning fans. Cleveland reportedly banned the wrong fan after the beer throwing incident against the Tennessee Titans.

The fan who was banned, Eric Smith, claims that he wasn't even at the game on Sunday. Looking at his social media, his story seems to check out.

Apparently, Smith wasn't in attendance of the Browns' season opener against the Titans on Sunday. Instead, Smith was at a wedding as the DJ that was doing nothing but supplying newlyweds with music—not throwing beer.

Also, by looking at the pictures of the actual offender and Smith, you can tell that they have the wrong person.

The incident occurred when Titans cornerback Logan Ryan jumped into the stands to celebrate his teammate, Malcolm Butler, returning an interception for a touchdown. Butler and Ryan saw Titans fans in the stands, but there were some Browns fans surrounding them who doused them with beer.

The veteran cornerback didn't retaliate during the game, but he did exclaim his disappointment in the situation after the game. Following his remarks, the Cleveland organization launched an investigation to find the culprit who threw the alcoholic beverages onto Ryan and Butler.

The Browns are doing the right thing by banning the fan who committed the act, but it seems as if they need to continue their search for the right guy. With the power of social media, hopefully Smith can clear his name and they can find the actual wrongdoer.
