Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward had an incredibly impressive rookie season and was voted to the Pro Bowl in his first season. Ward unfortunately suffered two concussions at the end of the regular season and his availability for the Pro Bowl game is in question.

According to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Ward is planning to play to some extent but even he does not know exactly how much time he'll be out on the field.

“I’ll definitely, I’ll get out there and just have some fun a little bit. I don’t know how much I’ll play, but we’ll see. Just making sure I’m being safe for the upcoming season. That’s what my main focus us. But definitely going to go out there, and whatever plays I do have, have fun with that.”

Ward helped provide a new identity to the Browns defense and his playmaking ability was put on display very early on in the season. Ward opened up the season with two interceptions against Ben Roethlisberger along with six total tackles. The Browns struck gold in drafting Ward fourth overall in the 2018 draft, but it's not much of a surprise that Ward played at the high level he did. Ward had a fantastic season in his final year with Ohio State and earned his spot above all the other cornerbacks drafted last season.

The Browns have a solid player on defense to build around within the secondary and it's worth noting the overall strides the team made in 2018. It's very likely the Browns continue to build around their young defensive core and continue to draft defensive studs.
