Cleveland Browns cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams are listed as day to day, according to Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com.

‘The hope is still that Ward and Williams will be ready to play on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, but it will depend on how their hamstrings respond to treatment and practice if they can.

With Ward and Williams out, it's been Terrance Mitchell and T.J. Carrie who have done most of the filling in. They have done a good job, and even though the defense struggled overall against the San Francisco 49ers, Mitchell and Carrie held their own.

Mitchell gave up three catches for 19 yards, while Carrie gave up three catches for 43 yards, Eric Murray also played in the slot, and he was really strong giving up only two catches for 11 yards. Getting Ward and Williams back would be a big boost back for a team that is trying to stop the up and down seesaw they have had to start the season.

“We don’t want to be an up-and-down, roller-coaster football team if we want to get to where we want to get to,” Coach Freddie Kitchens said in his Tuesday media conference call via cleveland.com.

The offense has their own issues, but the defense as a whole didn't play up to expectations on Monday. If Ward and Williams were to come back, that would move Mitchell and Carrie back to reserves, and they become two backups that can be trusted, especially in crunch time.
