The Cleveland Browns have already verbally agreed to a contract with Austin Hooper and now, they're making another notable move on offense. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jack Conklin is signing a three-year, $42 million deal with Cleveland.

Heading into free agency, Conklin was going to be the most coveted right tackle available. Before he can even speak to other teams, the Browns have swooped in and secured him for three seasons.

Back in 2016, Conklin began his career as a first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans. Conklin was named an All-Pro in his rookie season and has been a fixture on Tennessee's offensive line ever since.

Just this past season, Conklin allowed a total of four sacks on 933 offensive snaps. On the other hand, he aided in the Titans boasting one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL with Derrick Henry.

Throughout his first four seasons, the Michigan State product has missed just seven games in his career. Therefore, the Browns know they are inserting a reliable player at the right tackle position.

After a dismal 2019 campaign, it was apparent that Cleveland needed to address the offensive line. While Baker Mayfield was sacked 40 times, the second-year quarterback was constantly under duress. At the least, the Browns are now trying to fix the glaring issues around Mayfield.

Shortly after the legal tampering period began on Monday, Cleveland agreed to a four-year, $44 million deal with Hooper. Seeing that both of the Browns' first moves are on offense, first-year GM Andrew Berry is making a concerted effort to surround Mayfield with better pieces.
