The Cleveland Browns are certainly in a celebratory mood after their 48-37 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in their Wild Card Round game, which marks the franchise’s first postseason victory since the 1994 season.
After the game, wide receiver Jarvis Landry was quick to remind everyone that despite picking up an important win and moving deeper into the playoffs, there is still a lot of work to be done. Landry did it by channeling former Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who was never known to rest on his laurels and whose competitive drive has become the stuff of legend:

Bryant gave the interview that Landry was referencing after the Lakers took a 2-0 lead over the Orlando Magic in the 2009 NBA Finals that they won in five games, and it is clear the Browns wide receiver wants his team to have the same mentality moving forward in the playoffs.
After beating their AFC North rival for the second time in two weeks, the Browns will face the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round. Cleveland will no doubt have a difficult task ahead when it travels to Arrowhead Stadium.
Still, it’s worth looking back at the Browns’ performance against Pittsburgh, with the 28-year-old Landry playing a huge part in the win. The five-time Pro Bowler led the team with five receptions for 92 receiving yards and one touchdown. His 40-yard score happened in the first quarter, when Cleveland built a huge 28-0 lead that was never relinquished.
Despite the victory, and after celebrating the win and taking shots at their rival on the field, it appears Landry and the rest of the Browns aren’t just happy to be in the Divisional Round. Like Bryant, they will not be satisfied until they finish the job and win the big prize.
