Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry is one of the new faces for the city of Cleveland when it comes to sports after LeBron James. He may not be the top face, with Baker Mayfield taking over that role, but he is certainly up there with his quarterback. As far as importance to the Browns goes, Landry may be the top player on the list.

It has been a long time since the Browns had a legitimate star wide receiver who could stay on the field. Josh Gordon was a star, but he had so many off-the-field issues and has now been traded to the New England Patriots.

One of the best parts about Landry is his blunt honesty about situations. In an interview with Pro Football Talk, Landry opened up about his frustration with blowing the Week 4 game against the Oakland Raiders. Cleveland should have won the game, but they made too many mistakes and allowed the Raiders to steal it from them.

“It was something that I am obviously still thinking about, but it is a new week. We have to try to push that ‘start over’ button again. Go back out there and have another opportunity on Sunday.”

Landry went on to talk about some positives from the game, including the 42-point outburst from the offense.

“If you were to look at it honestly, with the opportunities that we have had to win games, you do not want to look back in December and be like, ‘God, if we could have gotten that one,'” Landry said. “It is tough. We scored 42 points. That is something to be optimistic about.”

Cleveland is set to face off against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon.

Throughout the first four games of the season, Landry has made a major impact for the Browns. He has 24 receptions for 312 yards and a touchdown. Cleveland has needed to see a receiver put up big numbers for quite a few years.

Expect to see the Browns continue improving throughout the remainder of the 2018 season. They have a lot of young talent and it will be exciting to see it develop over the next few years with Landry being a major leader.
