The Cleveland Browns were uncertain if Jarvis Landry would be able to give it a go in Week 2, but it appears he made good progress with his injury. According to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Landry is expected to play for the Browns when they square off against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football.

It was far from a picture-perfect debut for the Browns in Week 1 versus the Baltimore Ravens. In his first career game as a head coach, Kevin Stefanski's squad was blown out, 38-6.

To make matters even worse, it was revealed that Landry injured his hip during the rout against the Ravens. Due to it being a shortened week, Cleveland was uncertain if Landry would be able to play this week. However, he's apparently made enough progress to essentially give him a probable designation for Week 2.

Of course, there is concern among Browns fans when they hear that Landry is dealing with a hip ailment. Despite playing in all 16 games last season, Landry dealt with a nagging hip injury. Even though he scoffed at the idea of having surgery at first, he would later decide to undergo surgery during the offseason.

Heading into Week 2, the Browns are already entering must-win territory against the Bengals in Week 2. Going down 0-2 in a tough AFC North division could be detrimental to Cleveland's hopes of making the playoffs this season. At the least, they'll likely have Landry available on offense when the team takes the field on Thursday night versus Cincinnati, who is also 0-1.
